Pisces 29° A prism ~ VALIDATION

“Birth a new light from within.”

Let us proceed to a study of this day’s septenary or 7-fold geometric model of the Sabian symbols, which constitutes a mandala of 360 astrological degrees as developed by Dr. Marc Edmund Jones in collaboration with and channeled by Elsie May Wheeler in the spring of 1925.* Additionally, by utilizing the ancient esoteric writing, The Emerald Tablet, Tablet III by Thoth, we adopt a ready and constant framework for our deeper reflections. The chakra system is also made available for the additional insights it may provide; the geometric designs provided are based on the work of Frank Chester and may be used to cut out and assemble a Chestahedron for meditation.

Thoth: All eyes do not see with the same vision, for to one an object appears of one form and colour and to a different eye of another. So also the infinite fire, changing from colour to colour, is never the same from day to day.

Man is a star bound to a body, until in the end, he is freed through his strife. Only by struggle and toiling thine utmost shall the star within thee bloom out in new life. Wisdom cometh to all her children even as they cometh unto wisdom. All through the ages, the light has been hidden. Awake, O man, and be wise.

Before the Lords of hidden Amenti learned I the wisdom I give unto men. Masters are they of the great Secret Wisdom, brought from the future of infinity’s end. Seven are they, the Lords of Amenti, overlords they of the Children of Morning, Suns of the Cycles, Masters of Wisdom. Formed are not they as the children of men? Three, Four, Five and Six, Seven, Eight, Nine are the titles of the Masters of men.

Far from the future, formless yet forming, came they as teachers for the children of men. Live they forever, yet not of the living, bound not to life and yet free from death. Rule they forever with infinite wisdom, bound yet not bound to the dark Halls of Death. Life they have in them, yet life that is not life, free from all are the Lords of the ALL.

Forth from them came forth the Logos, instruments they of the power o’er all. Vast is their countenance, yet hidden in smallness, formed by a forming, known yet unknown.

THREE holds the key of all hidden magic, creator he of the halls of the Dead; sending forth power, shrouding with darkness, binding the souls of the children of men; sending the darkness, binding the soul force; director of negative to the children of men.

Pisces 29° A prism

This is a symbol of the world’s stability, and of the refusal of nature to change any aspect of herself unnecessarily. The reliability of normal processes and the consistency of true intelligence are the foundation of a common knowledge which man has been expanding through the centuries, and his continuance of the control he has gained over his environment is promise of much more wonderful achievement ahead. He is able to take any convenient facet of the reality at his hand and fashion it into an effective instrument for a measure of the whole potential.

The keyword is VALIDATION.

When positive, the degree is exceptional accomplishment through judgment of unusual accuracy, and when negative, fatuous pride of intellect.

FOUR is he who looses the power. Lord, he, of Life to the children of men. Light is his body, flame is his countenance; freer of souls to the children of men.

The Sacral Chakra awakening:  “Can you give it all you’ve got?”

Taurus 20° Wind clouds and haste

This is a symbol of the transiency which characterizes life for the average individual, and of the instability which results from the disinclination of most people to give very much of themselves to their experience. Implicit in the negative symbolism is the divine aplomb of the ego, ever able to hold to its course through superficial excitement. There is a real spiritual lightness here as an outer mark of the soul’s fundamental freedom.

The keyword is EXALTATION.

When positive, the degree is efficiency in controlling events at any point of transition or crisis, and when negative, a diffusion of self and waste of energy in an attempt to grasp the myriad facets of the unessential.

FIVE is the master, the Lord of all magic – Key to The Word that resounds among men.

The Solar Plexus Chakra awakening: “Here today, gone tomorrow.”

This is a symbol of the wide ramification in experience by which man achieves his greater opportunities, emphasized on the wholly personal side as he is able to include the far-flung capabilities of the race itself in his own individual complex of talents and skills. Life gains significance to the extent that each person embraces the totality of his kind in his own makeup, or seeks to embody universal values in his everyday consciousness.

The keyword is MATERIALIZATION.

When positive, the degree is a gift for bringing the more Godlike resources or superior powers of self to a point of real community service, and when negative, completely unreasonable demands for recognition.

SIX is the Lord of Light, the hidden pathway, path of the souls of the children of men.

The Heart Chakra awakening:  “Love exists before the birth.”

Virgo 3° Two angels bring protection

This is a symbol of the absolute certainty which any individual may develop in the terms of his conscious faith, and of the power in human character which becomes the hallmark of his spiritual orientation. There are the traditional legions of heavenly forces which ever move to sustain the soul in its outreaching to eternal values, facilitating the simple and consistent convergence of all good things toward their own kind. High-mindedness here pays very pleasant dividends.

The keyword is SECURITY.

When positive, the degree is a sure conviction which enables man to proceed to an effective fulfillment of his dreams, and when negative, vain pretense and self-importance.

SEVEN is he who is Lord of the vastness, master of Space and the key of the Times.

The Throat Chakra awakening:  “Your success is guaranteed.”

This is a symbol of the illimitable potentiality of both man and his world, and of the practical fruits of his efforts whenever he retains his own unconditioned uniqueness of make-up and is alert to whatever opportunities arise in his particular milieu and permit his own special destiny to fulfill itself. There are here the fundamental affinities of all differentiation as these are able to make their particular contribution to human experience.

The keyword is DISTINCTIVENESS.

When positive, the degree is an idealistic originality and a high facility in quick analysis, and when negative, an interest in the worthless or an obsession with the improbable and ridiculous.

EIGHT is he who orders the progress; weighs and balances the journey of men. 

The Third Eye Chakra awakening:  “Make our works the proof of self.”

This is a symbol of the spirit’s demand for its full share in the privileges and rewards of human society, and of the individual’s realization that his personal interests are served only as he maintains an unceasing vigilance in his own behalf. There is a continual and wholly impersonal give-and-take in every phase of life’s over-all economy, so that what loses its usefulness in one respect will gain an immediate high potentiality in another. Moreover, what man fails to claim definitely for himself is promptly surrendered to the devices of someone else.

The keyword is ALERTNESS.

When positive, the degree is a gift for recognizing every opportunity at hand, and when negative, aimless expectation.

NINE is the father, vast he of countenance, forming and changing from out of the formless. 

The Crown Chakra awakening:  “Endings become beginnings.”

Aquarius 7° A child born of an eggshell

This is a symbol of the infinite regression in all personal reality, not as a fact of some mysterious loss of self either in source or in final dissolution but as a demonstration of the illimitable potentialities to be found in each immediate moment of self-realization. For his own enlightenment a man may project himself indefinitely into what has been or what may be but his assurance is in the ever-present sustainment of the auric egg or self-matrix in which existence continues to create itself in its own image.

The keyword is ESSENTIALITY.

When positive, the degree is a highly individual and completely unlimited resourcefulness, and when negative, naïve reliance on external accident.

Meditate on the symbols I give thee. Keys are they, though hidden from men.

Reach ever upward, O Soul of the morning. Turn thy thoughts upward to Light and to Life. Find in the keys of the numbers I bring thee, light on the pathway from life unto life.

Seek thee with wisdom. Turn thy thoughts inward. Close not thy mind to the flower of Light.

Place in thine body a thought-formed picture. Think of the numbers that lead thee to Life.

Clear is the pathway to he who has wisdom. Open the door to the Kingdom of Light.

Pour forth thy flame as a Sun of the morning. Shut out the darkness and live in the day.

Take thee, O man! As part of thy being, the Seven who are but are not as they seem. Opened, O man! Have I my wisdom. Follow the path in the way I have led.
